2018 “Toil and Trouble” Awards Nominees!

Transparency Note: These nominations are based on a two-round collation of judging criteria from nine different specially-selected judges. The feature films The Ranger and Vampire Clay, being distributed films that we paid a screening fee for, were not eligible for competition. Films more than two years old were also not eligible, but that was very few indeed (if any). See all the way below to meet our judges!

The Banquo’s Ghost Award

The Award is given to people who have left an indelible mark on the genre that will haunt us forever. Since the festival and its other awards take their names from Macbeth, we decided to turn to Shakespeare and his horror play once again this time tapping into the character of Banquo, whose ghost haunts Macbeth’s banquet as a reminder of bloody deeds.

Kevin Tenney, for Night of the Demons
