Half year ago, after a near-death experience, young photographer Yao-Ting accidentally took a photo of Elenie, the female Death. She looked like his lover who died ten years ago. After being told that he has only one year to live, Yao-Ting tries every kind of way to die so he could take the most beautiful photos of her. Yet, what he doesn’t know is that when a Death fells in love with a human, the order between life and death will collapse.
Horrible Imaginings is proud to announce what we hope will be an on-going tradition–the inclusion of a youth and student film block of films! Hsin-Yen LU’s death fable THANATOS is full of very interesting ideas and cleverly-staged death scenes that show remarkable promise in this student’s filmmaking future! Joining LU in the Youth and Student Showcase will be two young filmmakers–John Capizzano IV (16), who will have his short film “The Legend of Carter Street” and Morgana McKenzie (15) who will have her music video “We All Go the Same.”
