DIRECTOR FRANCESCO PICONE Picone was born in Pisa (ITALY) on 9 February 1986. Moved by his audiovisual interest, he attended a movie institute in Florence after finishing high school. However, his effective education began in 2008 when he started working for a Tuscany television network as director, editor and video maker.
In 2011 he wrote, directed, and produced the low budget short movie IO SONO MORTA (I’m Dead), which was shown to more than 60 international festivals like “Transilvania International Film Festival 2013” (Romania); ” Pifan 2012 ” (South Korea); ” Kaohsiung Film Festival 2012″ (Taiwan); “Colchester Film Festival 2012 ” (UK); Phoenix Comicon Film Festival 2013 (US); “7th Festival of Serbian Fantastic Film” (Serbia), and which wins 10 awards like “best vampire short” & ” best short film ” at “Fear Fête Horror Film Festival 2012” in USA and “best short movie at “X Festival de Cine de Terror de Alicante 2012 ” in Spain.
In 2014, Picone wrote and directed “Anger of the Dead,” a feature film version of its previous namesake and award-winning short film, which was screened at the 2013 HORRIBLE IMAGININGS FILM FESTIVAL.
